This was my first experience at this Hidden home town restaurant. This service is Outstanding, This place is an old school vibe. Everyone working here is very polite. I'm sorry to say The food was only a 3 star. The chicken fried steak was fake patties. The gravy was not home made. I was slightly disappointed. I can understand the repeat customers because of the down home feeling and the wonderful service. I will be back to experience the dinner they offer.

This place is the PERFECT hole-in-the-wall breakfast food location. I mean the ambiance, the food, the teamwork amongst the staff...it just all adds up for the most amazing meal you will have. I got an omelet, my dad got Belgium waffle with basted eggs and bacon (the meal he always gets). He orders his bacon such that "if you dropped it, it would break". They nailed his order and mine was scrumptious. Their fruit and pumpkin pancakes were so great that I'd be remiss to not mention them. Pumpkin is their flavor or the month and those pancakes were such soft melt-in-your-mouth ones with just the right amount of pumpkin flavor. That fruit was so ripe and tasty! The staff works together so well it is seamless. The decor is so fun and they decorated for Halloween.

I had my wife pick out a place to stop for breakfast on the way to Reno for the weekend, and Cricket Country Kitchen was what she came up with. No regrets! All the servers were super friendly. The menu states that the chicken fried steak is the best in the city. Lots of places claim this, so of course we had to give it a try.....and I have to say, it was probably the best one I've ever had. The gravy was on point, but the meat itself was just so tender and flavorful, and breaded perfectly. Pricing was great as well. We've definitely found a great breakfast option any time we're on the road.

A very cute, very old fashion style. Like stepping into a ranch house. Not the modern type at all which lots of people like that have grew up around the country life with chickens, etc would appreciate. Lots of old antique & unique things hanging all over like bull horns, ranch tools, kitchen tools, license plates, taxadermied animals, etc. Even has a neat little antique replica Union Pacific train that runs on a track hanging from the ceiling thats runs in a circle above about 6 booths.

We haven't been there in ages, so we decided to check it out! I pass by it every day on my work route, and it's always packed! When we arrived around 12:30, the place was packed! At first, we were discouraged and wanted to leave, but we decided to stick around and see what the hype was about. Within 10 minutes, they called our names, and as soon as they seated us, they brought us our drinks and took our order. Our food arrived within 15 minutes! The food was fresh and hot! We ordered biscuits and gravy, and the chicken-fried steak (Mr. Huge, I believe it's called on the menu). The Buttermilk Biscuits were flaky and soft, and the chicken-fried steak was cooked to perfection! The server was super friendly and awesome! All in all, we had a great time and will definitely be coming back! #foodie #brunch #delicious #greatservice

This is the only place I am able to frequent regularly, I am incredibly picky when it comes to eating out and this restaurant has never failed me. Amy is the number one reason I continue to visit I have always been seated in her area the almost 4 years I’ve been coming and she is friendly and fun to see every time, my food always comes out right. The second reason I continue is the FOOD it is the closest to my grandma’s cooking I have found and it touches my soul!
